There is always a lot of glass in the conservative club car park. Of course depends on whether they have safe equipment to dispose of it.

Private land make them pay for a clean up

Think the canal towpaths from bottom lock to Goyt Mill and Brickbridge Road would be an ideal area. There is always a low-level of litter, and apparently no organised litter pick from Canal and Rivers Trust, just local people like me picking stuff up. A group would probably need permission from CRT - best way to approach them would be through the Marple Heritage Locks Society.

Marple Bridge/Town Street always looks better after a litter pick.  Their efforts in the village would be most appreciated.

The Marple Bridge Association may also be willing to give some kind of written recognition of their efforts.

So, is all of Marple squeaky clean then? Nowhere needs a litter-pick?

A local youth group has been in touch asking if there are any areas of Marple that are particularly in need of a litter-pick at the moment.

Any suggestions for places where their efforts would be helpful please?
