There are two new Diary entries from Bob Humphrey-Taylor on both work at Mellor Mill and the visit of Samuel Oldknow to the Manchester Histories Festival 'Celebration Day' at Manchester Town Hall.

A report on the successful 'Mellor Mill Heritage Day', on September 8th,  is now on the Mellor Archaeological Trust website.

The Mellor Archaeological Site has an update of Bob's Mill Diary:

Bob's Mill Diary Sunday 29 September 2013 - This details the excavation of the boiler house and steam engine house area, at the northern extremity of the main Mill complex, during the summer. A building, constructed in 1860, which is detached from the main Mill, housed the Lancashire Boiler and two horizontal steam engines, manufactured by Goodfellows of Hyde.
