The rover is obviously a very capable dog trainer, and well done to him/her for training their dog so well.  But I disagree.  There are real benefits from taking a dog to classes as well as training it yourself - for example, in ensuring that it is well socialised and behaves well with other dogs.  Sometimes when I'm walking our dog he wanders up to other dogs wagging his tail, while the owner of the other dog struggles to restrain a ferocious snarling brute which should have been taken to dog training classes!   :o

Train the puppy yourself, it is not difficult. I have always trained my own dogs and my dog walks round Marple all the time not on a lead, totally obedient, many people comment how well trained she is.

I have a new puppy, I was intending to send him to Chadkirk for puppy training, when looking at the internet, I found that it was at Compstall Mill ??, confused,  I phoned the number on the advertising  sign near chadkirk to find there are two Chadkirk dog training places,  one Chadkirk dog training centre  the original, and the other a totaly seperate organisation Chadkirk dog training CLUB , ( apparently a group who attended  the original Chadkirk, but then set up on thier own in compstall and kept the name ? ) .

Has anyone got experience of either classes,  speaking to the original group, the man told me that " they" are the professionals, but I dont know anything about either group ,  I just want it to be fun for my pooch, but for him and myself to learn at the same time .

A few years ago there used to be an agility group at the rugby club in Marple, but I dont know which organisation they were , and Im not sure if they still train there, any info would be appreciated

Thanks :)
