There are to be exhibitions at various locations reporting on SEMMMS, they and more info can be found at http://www.semmms.info/a6/consultation/phase2/findoutmore  The nearby exhibitions are at High Lane Village Hall on the 25th June, and Hazel Grove Civic Hall on the 18th June between 10 am and 8pm.

You may not think this affects you but already people are using the Middlewood Way and links to Torkington to cycle to Wilmslow so we have to think of what can be achieved.

From a cycling perspective what the Council is interested in is the possible upgrading of some footpaths to enable access to the main route and provide links between various areas. Obviously the route will benefit anyone working at the airport, but there will be other areas that can also benefit, eg cycling between Marple and Bramall. If you know of anything like this please go to the Web Site and then contact the Council.

Detailed maps of the route can be found at http://www.semmms.info/a6/consultation/phase2/plansanddrawings/
There are 5 maps in 2 sections. Scroll down to the relevant Public Rights of Way proposals. They are linear over-lapping maps that follow the route so have no North South orientation.
Unfortunately they are published on their sides, so unless you have a rotating screen they are a little difficult to read, however basically the Green line is the proposed new cycleway and the red lines potential links to the new route that may need upgrading.

they are published on their

"It does make sense to add cycle paths to new roads wherever possible but isn't 'venerable users' meetings just a bit hey nonny nonny. No wonder everything takes so much time."

Would Duke be classed as a Venerable Bead (Bede) Counter amongst local business people?  I was feeling a little vulnerable on my bike last night on Stockport Road.

SEMMS is the proposed route from Hazel Grove to the Airport. It is intended to have a pedestrian/cycleway alongside it which will be of benefit to those wanting to get to the Airport and beyond into the Cheshire countryside. There is to be a Vulnerable Road Users meeting at Fred Perry House at 6-30 pm on Wednesday 12th June. If you are interested please confirm your attendance in advance, by contacting Sue Stevenson on 0161 474 2055, or emailing SEMMMS.Relief.Road@stockport.gov.uk

Probably because it covers many more areas than Marple - would have to do in all local libraries, or could just keep it central - cost I assume.

The speed things have gone at so far, I doubt it will be built in my lifetime.

why have you written to every house in marple for the 3rd time?
why is the exhibition not being brought to marple library?
