Gas Board price....

Carbon Monoxide alarm
Carbon Monoxide is a highly poisonous gas that is very difficult to detect as you cannot see, smell or taste it. You may not be aware of its presence until it's too late.

Price: £29.99 (inc vat )

If you have a log burner or coal fire you should have a Carbon Monoxide alarm fitted.

You should also have one fitted if you have any gas appliance - boiler, gas fire, gas cooker - built in or free standing, and also oil-fired boilers too. So pretty much EVERY home should have one:

Carbon Monoxide alarms (as in the title of this thread) and smoke alarms are two different things. As I understand it the Fire Service will install FREE smoke alarms as described on the link provided by sgk. But I don't think they fit Carbon Monoxide alarms do they?

Are you and your family safe?

In Greater Manchester we are committed to reducing fire deaths by ensuring that every home in the county has a working smoke alarm.  To make certain this happens, Firefighters now carry out FREE Home Fire Safety Checks and fit FREE smoke alarms.

We have already fitted over 100,000 free smoke alarms in our local communities. Along with fitting free smoke alarms, we also give occupiers a free fire safety check known as a Home Fire Risk Assessment.

What is a Home Fire Safety Check?
When you book a Home Fire Safety Check, Firefighters will visit your home at an allocated time and accompany you around every room in your property with the aim of:

Identifying and making you aware of the potential fire risks in your home
Making sure you know what to do in order to reduce or prevent these risks
Helping you put together an escape plan in case a fire breaks out in the future
Ensuring you have a working smoke alarm and if you don't, we will fit a FREE ten year smoke alarm.
Booking a FREE Home Fire Safety Check couldn't be simpler. Simply call             0800 555 815       or fill in the form below.
