Sorry to labour the point folks, but I have yet to hear comments, regarding the activities of the Marple Community Council.

The last evidence I saw of their existence was a wreath laying on remembrance day.

I wonder if perhaps they have joined forces with the Marple Civic Society, or are they still a thriving peoples champion?

I wonder if Mark, or anyone else can shed light on the existing status of the Marple Community Council?
I have no response to my previous posts

Mr Taylor,

Unless of course information is confidential to the executive, would you consider causing for the dates of future meetings to be included in the forum calendar.

Would you consider asking Mark to publish agendas and minutes of meetings?

Well until I moved away I use to attend the MCC meetings, they were in my opinion never well supported during my time by the community,
much was said and not much more done, notwithstanding the hard work and dedication of it's executive.

I suppose with the Marple Civic Society in existance and membership at a fee?, together with the freinds of this and that, there is not much more that the good citizans of Marple can attend, unless of course they have a gripe!

If the MCC HAVE ANY FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR DISTRIBUTION, CAN WE PLEASE HAVE SOME FOR,Prostate Cancer Support, Clough Farm project and the Marple Bandroom.....please.

Does this group still meet and where and when

The fact even Miss M wasn't aware of the council suggests it needs more publicity. I'd like to look in and see what goes on too so When & where.

Having attended several community council meetings and observed the sterling work done by that committee for the benefit of Marple residents, I feel that I must record my admiration for the manner in which Mr Adrian Taylor has carried out his role as Chairman.

He has been totally dedicated and commited to the work involved. I as a resident have been the recipient of the results of his efforts.

I think it is very sad that the MCC meetings and the executive members are not better supported by the residents
of the town and even more so, that there are no candidates, thus far, for the vacant posts.

The MCC executive council perform there duties and attendances at various meetings of a civic nature, for the benefit of the community and without any reward for doing so.

I do hope that new blood will be forthcoming, and that the MCC  will continue ity's excellent and very important work for many years to come.

As a resident of the town and on behalf of all of those who have  benefited  from Adrians leadership and negotiating skills ,May i express a sincere THANK YOU

MCC Executive Committee
