Not forgetting that having walked along Low Lea Road you will be able to view the excavations at Oldknow's Bottoms Mill just before you join Lakes Road.
Well worth a visit in its own right.

I would suggest combining walk nos 2 and 3 here: www.marple-uk.com/walks

Start at the Ringers and follow walk 3 then at Marple Bridge go down Low Lea Road, joining up with walk 2 at Lakes Road. Will show the best that Marple has to offer with the locks, aqueduct, Brabyns Park, Roman Lakes, Roman Bridge etc. canal back to Ringers.........

Ive got a friend coming on Saturday with no knowledge of the area at all.  I have to work early evening so as hes a keen walker I was thinking of sending him for a local walk! Has to be about 3 hours long from Ringers ish.  Any recommendations and maps for him to follow?
