There's a temporary generator parked up next to the substation on Cedar Road with "Emergency Response Unit" across the front. Been chugging away since this morning!

Finally power restored on Ecclesbridge at 2pm. When i rang them up this morning at 8.30 they were talking about temp generators and power might not be restored until 4pm

Hibbert Lane too.

How do you know Jethro? Have you phoned the Electric Board?

Our phone won't work without Internet :(

I called this number below, It's a long winded voice activated process, but eventually got the info.

North West: Electricity North West

There is a huge hole dug on the corner of Edwards Way and Hibbert Lane and it's surrounded by Electricity Board vans.

Strangely - my son's power came back on about 9am on Hibbert Lane less than a 100 yards from the hole but ours has only just come back on Woodville.

I'm right in the middle of all those areas and there was no problem at all. I think we must be on the Union Road substation.

Back on at 9am in most places, could be 11.30 if near the actual problem.

Not sure where the main fault is but it is caused by damage to equipment !!!!!

We have no power on Woodville Drive at the moment. This is the second outage this morning. Not sure what time it first went off but it came back on around 5.05am. Went back off around 6am.

Couldn't get the modem to boot up during the period it was back on either.

Anyone know the cause or how widespread it is?
