The former Chinese takeway in Compstall Road, opposite the Spring Gardens, has reopened as an Indian called Chutney Blu. We tried it the other day and it was surprisingly good: a fairly standard menu, reasonably priced and freshly cooked. I think this may be one of the better Indians in the area (but we haven't been to the Jodphur Lounge yet, which I'm told is good)

Why "surprisingly good"????

Delicious curry and very reasonably priced.  Still piping hot when it arrived home.  Cash only, though, so remember to visit the cash point first.   :)
