Why don't you want to go to youth hostel Alan?  Maybe you could then donate your winter fuel allowance to charity. Remember the saying 'it is better to give than receive'!
Chicky, as you are not aware of my charitable activies and will not be, please be advised, that when the world and it's wife knows what one gives to charity- it ceases to be so

How about a Youth Hostel in Derbyshire.

I am thinking of going to the Canaries or even Florida, it must be cheaper, and I can put my winter fuel allowance towards it
Let's drop this now ,I've finished on this subject .Christmas will be starting again in July. If the shops have there way.

Thanks amazon, I will look into it.

Bredbury hall may be ideal for you a club as well you could use .

Could be expensive. I believe Bredbury Hall were charging £50 entrance fee on New Years Eve.

not if your residents at the hotel it's free entry .

Trying to find a venue for a New years Eve party next year. We would like to hire a house for a couple of days. Not to far away and something that can accomodate about 7 families of 4. Has anyone got any recommendations please.

Many Thanks
