On Monday morning it was so bad on Buxton Lane that it was getting into the house with all the doors and windows closed - until I went outside I thought it was a problem with my drains! Later on when I went to visit a friend near Marple Hall it was there as well. We wondered if it was the sewage works.

The "Romiley Reek" is the paper tube factory down Oakwood Road.  I grew up in Romiley and it has never been as bad as it has been the last couple of weeks.

Romiley has also recently experienced the "Romiley Reek" which has been reported to Stockport MBC. Apparently they are investigating. Perhaps this is the same thing.
