Saving the Flowerbeds in Memorial Park

You may have read the new page on the FOMMP web site and/or the minutes of their last meeting and be aware of the project to save the park flowerbeds from grassing over.

You can read more about this at www.marplememorialpark.org.uk/projects/saving-the-flowerbeds.html

I'm pleased to advise that Marple Area Committee approved the Friends Flexibility Fund grant application for £600, covering the cost of planting two of the five adopted beds, on Wednesday night.

I have identified another potential source of funding but will need the support of at least two tennants of Stockport Homes properties in Marple. Is anyone who uses the forum (or do you know anyone else) a tennant of Stockport Homes and would support an application to them for funds to save the flowerbeds in Memorial Park?

Please get in touch with mark@marple-uk.com if you think you can help.
