Each registered user can vote once in the poll for the Civic Society's Building Design Award. The contenders are:

07 - Wrought iron gate at 45 Moor End Road
Mellor, made by Arthur Dewberry of Old Road, Whaley Bridge. Jane Hallam, nominator, writes: "A modern and aesthetic piece of wrought iron work ... blends in with traditional stone cottages."

08 - Welcome to Marple Bridge sign
At the Peace Garden, Marple Bridge, by Georgina Hargreaves, local artist, Nominated by Linda Coase: "Depicts the charm of this beautiful village and says You have arrived. Light in design ... an upbeat impression of Marple Bridge."

09 - Mary, Joseph and Jesus
Display in ironwork by Wayne Chaisty of Iron wood, Marple. Usually shown in Market Street, Marple, at Christmas.

10 - "Midnight" Tree Sculpture by chainsaw artist Andrew Frost
Commissioned by Friends of Marple Memorial Park and nominated by Treasurer Mark Whittaker, who writes: "An inspiring outcome from the sad demise of a mature tree. Hugely popular, especially with young children, who were extensively consulted about the design via local schools and Marple Library."
