Rainy City Chorus at Marple Cricket Club, Friday evening Real Ale Festival.

The Rainy City Chorus was one of the first barbershop choruses to start up in the UK – in January 1979. Barbershop harmony is a style of unaccompanied vocal music – great to listen to!

This appearance will be available to all those who buy a £5 ticket to the Beer & Wine Festival at the Cricket Club.

Real Ale and Wine Festival at Marple Cricket Club

Friday 17, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September.
Marple Cricket Club's Real Ale and Fine Wine Festival will provide a range of both imbibations to delight the most discerning pallete.

They have sourced a range of real ales with ABVs from 3.8% up to 7% and a range of tastes to suit all lovers of real ale. They have microbrewed lager and of course some really tasty ciders and perry.

Entertainment will feature a Barber Shop Quartet on the Friday evening and a Bierkeller band and caller on the Saturday evening (players from Marple Brass Band!)

The entry price is £5, which covers the cost of a Festival Glass and your first drink of ale (ABV no greater than 4.0%) or first glass of wine.  The entertainment costs are also covered by the ticket price.  Simple food will be available as well as our usual full bar service.  Entertainment will take place in the Marquee and we strongly recommend that you buy a ticket in advance to assure entry.
