The Royal british Legion 2009 Poppy Appeal results for Marple, Mellor, Compstall, Marple Bridge and Hawk Green are:

Total collected to date: £8,813-10 with contributions still coming in.

Collected by volunteers in the Co-Op Store: £2,407-83

Both amounts exceed last year's totals.
