Is £3.50 expensive for a pint of beer? I have no idea of the cost as I can't remember the last time I bought a single drink in a pub.
Just completing my expense claims though and I notice that I was charged £5.45 for a pint of Boddingtons in a London hotel last week. But hotels are always more expensive than pubs.
What is the average price for a pint in and around Marple?

........and London is a lot more expensive than Marple! What is the average price for a pint in and around Marple?
It's hovering around the £2.70 - £3.20 range. |

As a member of Marple Cricket Club you will get a very nice pint of cask ale (currently Adnams) for £2.40.
It's important to distinguish between real cask ales and lagers or Guinness etc, both of which are usually quite a lot more expensive than cask ales (locally anyway).

I can't beat £2.40, but I was pleased to discover yesterday that the Robbie's bitter at the Fox at Brookbottom is still only £2.60. And what a great and unchanging old pub it is.  |
