could be a bit too good for me - but would love to get to that level! my only marathon was 4:30, with recent 10ks around 50mins.
anyway, thanks for letting me know.

The Weds group ranges from 2 to 10,but now the dark nights are setting in we generally meet at Dialstone lane or run along Glossop rd.

The majority are about sub 3.30 marathon runners and a few of us sub 3.

Forgot to mention we also run around Lyme park some Sunday mornings when no one is training for a marathon

I tried Stockport Harriers but found that it started too early for me. ideally, during the week i'd be going out around 8ish (kids asleep, eaten etc!), weekends are a bit more flexible. Is it a big group that goes out on a wednesday, and what's the standard like? I'm no pro, but am trying to improve.
Thanks for your help

There are a few different groups of runners around the Marple area now, meeting at different locations.
I run for Stockport Harriers but most Wednesday evenings I meet up with local runners and run the trails around Mill Brow Rowarth etc

Then weekends we meet at Rose Hill station or Hadfield station pending on how far we want to run

Your more than welcome to come along

I'm thinking about setting up a running group for Marple and the local area, as it seems that although there are some good groups/clubs not that far away, Marple could really do with its own.  Initially, i'd like to get a group of people together who would like to run once/twice per week in the evening, and then maybe once at the weekend. Depending on interest, it could well develop into a proper club - Marple Runners???

Anyway, just wondering if a) anyone is interested, and b) whether anyone knows if this has been done before.

Thanks.
