One of the pub scenes in the first episode was the Nursery Inn at Heaton Norris. A Hydes pub I think.

Grandads house is on the corner Empress Ave and Church Street opposite Marple Cottage Surgery. Loved the series was fantastic seeing all the places I grew up. Was it me or was Stockport rd very quite with NO traffic on when they were in front of the cinema in last nights show Huh Huh

Outside the cinema was filmed on a hot Friday afternoon in July - they closed the road for 1.5 hrs ish . I stopped on my way home from work on my bike and watched for an hour or so .
The solicitors scene at the end was in my friends offices opposite the cinema Smiley

I think the place where the estate agents went on their date was the restaurant on Glossop Road; either the 'Rock' or the other one (can't think of it's name) - err, is it Woodheys?
Which would make sense as Craig Cash lives around there.

I'm assured that the date pub was the Moorfield Arms on Shiloh Road above Mellor.

Anyone notice Hollins of Marple (the hardware shop) appearing in White Van Man on BBC3 last night? The chippy next door got a free plug as well. Didn't really enjoy the programme - not my sort of "comedy". Not sure whether it's a compliment to Marple or not....

Yep I saw White Van Man and am very disappointed.

Does anyone remember the crew filming?

It might be a comedy but it just doesn't really make me laugh infact half the time I was admiring Marple in the background Grin.

The jokes were awful and the characters were totally off the mark. There were some good laughs but only some and not all.

The script needs drastic improvement.

The problem is that the benchmark for Marple was set with Craig Cash and crew with Sunshine, not all can step up to the mark of that. In my opinion White van man was a laugh and who cares if it's not to Hollywood standards, life's too short and uptight, better than ready steady cook and all the other rubbish web pay to watch!!! Cheesy

I've heard they're going to start filming Shameless series 10 in Marple and are looking for extras. Anyone interested?   Duke Fame could put his knowledge of Marple Bridge to use.
