Sidestepping the omnipresent catty comments....what's this 'ere The village then....drama, documentary?

Second series of BBC drama, set in 1920s Derbyshire.  Maybe Marple was a village back then  ;)

Because I associate Asda stores with areas in decline. Areas which feature in Benefits Street. Sorry - that's just my opinion.

The decline would have been if Asda had not come .you will now see. How busy Marple will be .(just my opinion )

I've heard they're going to start filming Shameless series 10 in Marple and are looking for extras. Anyone interested?   Duke Fame could put his knowledge of Marple Bridge to use.

The problem is that the benchmark for Marple was set with Craig Cash and crew with Sunshine, not all can step up to the mark of that. In my opinion White van man was a laugh and who cares if it's not to Hollywood standards, life's too short and uptight, better than ready steady cook and all the other rubbish web pay to watch!!! :D

Yep I saw White Van Man and am very disappointed.

Does anyone remember the crew filming?

It might be a comedy but it just doesn't really make me laugh infact half the time I was admiring Marple in the background ;D.

The jokes were awful and the characters were totally off the mark. There were some good laughs but only some and not all.

The script needs drastic improvement.

Anyone notice Hollins of Marple (the hardware shop) appearing in White Van Man on BBC3 last night? The chippy next door got a free plug as well. Didn't really enjoy the programme - not my sort of "comedy". Not sure whether it's a compliment to Marple or not....
