Views on guide to development in Stockport
« Reply #1 on: September 11, 2007, 03:26:10 PM »
Stockport Council is looking for your views on documents it has prepared to guide development in Stockport.

Two sets of guidance notes have been drafted;

The first sets out the Council’s aspirations for developers to incorporate and improve ‘green’ transport links that encourage the use of sustainable transport, such as cycling, walking and public transport.

The second promotes high quality design and seeks to raise the standard of any new residential development within the borough.
Once approved, these documents will be an important resource for those looking to build and develop in Stockport.

We encourage you to view the documents and make your responses through our online system - please go to www.stockport.gov.uk/planningpolicyconsultation/ for more information and to register your comments.

All of the documents have been placed on deposit at all libraries and Information and Advice Centres throughout the borough, and at the Council’s Planning Reception at Hygarth House and the Town Hall Reception. The documents are available to view from 9.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

The consultation period begins on Wednesday 12th September, and comments must be received by the Council no later than 4.30pm on Friday 12th October 2007.

If you require any further information or have any questions about either SPD please contact Planning Policy on 0161 474 4395 or email planning.policy@stockport.gov.uk
