A couple more photos from Ray Noble added to the Tour this evening:

Also one much better copy of an existing photo, so it's been replaced:

And finally Ray's copy of an existing All Saints' School photo had all the names on the back (fantastic! ):

First photos of 2013 uploaded to the Virtual Tour have been provided by Ray Noble and include several shots of the Hollins Mill Chimney just prior to demolition in October 1957.

The Virtual Tour has been updated this evening with a selection of photos taken by the late Gordon Mills between 1957 and the early 1960s. These have been passed to Marple Local History Society by Gordon's widow, Barbara. There is also one from Ray Noble of Captain Marvel!

See: http://visitmarple.co.uk/photos/thumbnails.php?album=lastup&cat=0

The images on the Virtual Tour have now been viewed more than 1,500,000 times - if only I had a penny!

And now we have some photos from Arthur at Otterspool and Chadkirk showing the river in spate. Some of the bank has been washed away at Otterspool and the temporary causeway at Chadkirk has gone completely:
