The Friends of the Park web site has been updated with details of our Task Day last Saturday at www.marplememorialpark.org.uk/task-days.html

The next scheduled Task Day is Saturday 27 October and we'd be delighted if you can come along for however long you can between 10 am and 2 pm.

Stout footwear and suitable clothing should be worn and bring your own gardening gloves if you have them. Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Look out for our most recent project in front of Marple Library too:

The Friends of the Park web site has been updated with details of our Task Day yesterday dodging thunderstorms at www.marplememorialpark.org.uk/task-days.html

The next scheduled Task Day is Saturday 8 September and we'd be delighted if you can come along for however long you can between 10 am and 2 pm.

If the weather is OK we will STILL be in need of skilled painters who can help paint the red bits of the Infants Play Area fence without splashing it all over the cream!

Stout footwear and suitable clothing should be worn and bring your own gardening gloves if you have them. Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Well done to all the volunteers.  I walked through the park this week and the flower beds looked fantastic.

The Friends of the Park web site has been updated with details of our Task Day yesterday when, as well as doing the normal stuff, our contractor for the hard landscaping works on the Diamond Jubilee Project was able to lay the bricks and coping for the new raised bed:

The next scheduled Task Day is Saturday 11 August and we'd be delighted if you can come along for however long you can between 10 am and 2 pm.

With our fortnightly task days and the Marple Spring Clean last weekend May has been an incredibly busy month for the Friends of the Park.

Our web site has been updated with details of our Task Day on 26 May:
www.marplememorialpark.org.uk/task-days.html

The Park Benches project page has also been updated:
www.marplememorialpark.org.uk/projects/caring-for-park-benches.html

We are approximately half way through painting the outside of the Infants Play Area fence and have done all of the inside in cream. There is lots more work to do and we would welcome help on this and other tasks in the park.

The next scheduled Task Day is Saturday 9 June and we'd be delighted if you can come along for however long you can between 10 am and 1 pm.

Stout footwear and suitable clothing should be worn and bring your own gardening gloves if you have them. Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
