More hard work from a small band of volunteers yesterday as we try to ensure your park looks its best!

Read more about what we did here: http://www.marplememorialpark.org.uk/task-days/task-days-in-2016.html

The next scheduled Task Day is Saturday 30 April and we'd be delighted if you can come along for however long you can between 10 am and 2 pm.

Stout footwear and suitable clothing should be worn and bring your own gardening gloves and small hand tools if you have them. Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult.

A busy day in Marple Memorial Park for volunteers saw lots of work getting done yesterday.

A big thank you to Marple Naturalists for donating 6 new bird boxes that we installed in the park with them too.

Our first task day using power tools but most of the grafting was still by hand in the flowerbeds. Our volunteers were grateful for the fantastic comments received from park users too. Read more about what we did here: http://www.marplememorialpark.org.uk/task-days/task-days-in-2015.html

A mix of work on flowerbeds, shrub beds and paths was carried out by a small group of volunteers yesterday, while several others received power-tools training. We also did some work on Lock 17.
