Apparently so James. There was a lengthy thread about this a few years ago when Denise, one of our members, managed to create enough fuss to get the Pets Graveyard tidied up.

While wandering into the park I came across, what i presume are grave stones for pets , under a tree near the entance from Marple Bridge.

One stones says .. Ben Lomond the Seagull 1897 - 1912.

So question .. Is this a grave stone for a Seagull that lived for 15 years ?

Interested if anyone knows.
