Title: parish registers
Post by: Sharon on February 15, 2006, 12:40:32 PM
Could anyone tell me where I can find the parish registers for Marple @ 1816.  My ancestors lived in High Lane but I know that this is too early for St. Thomas' church so where would they have been baptised at that time? Any help would be very much appreciated. ???

There's a good chance it was All Saints. The registers can be viewed on micro-fishe (is that how you spell it?) at Stockport Library, along with many others. You usually need to book a viewer.
