Title: Town Centre Bench Refurbishments (2017)

And we're off! 2017 Town Centre bench refurbishments are now under way.

This first one on the Hollins is sponsored by The McInnes Partnership, a chartered accountants based in Marple House (above M&Co).

We are still looking for confirmed sponsors for the last one on Market Street and the other 3 on the Hollins.

Bit of bench treatment on Market Street this evening on the ones we refurbished last year.

We managed to get 5 done and all of them sanded but ran out of preservative outside Samuel Oldknows.

Bit of a disaster really but we could hardly not go in for a pint now could we!

The McInnes Partnership sponsored bench on the Hollins is now fully reassembled and we just have to give it a final coat of preservative in a few days time and then fit the plaque.

Arrangements are in the final stages for the last one on Market Street but we still need sponsors for the others on the Hollins.

The plaque has been fitted to the McInnes Partnership sponsored bench and it is now fully completed.

The McInnes Partnership is a Chartered Account based in Marple House (above M&Co). As well as sponsoring the bench, they have done the Friends of the Park accounts for the last 13 years free of charge. Great community support! It awaits a sand-down and final coat of preservative, hopefully sometime next week, followed by fitting of the dedication plaque.
