The road near sherlocks hairdressers marple bridge is closed burst water main diversions in place

That has solved a mystery. We walked past at about 5.30 p.m., the road was open but there was lots of stones etc. which looked like they had been washed down the road. We thought the rain must have been heavy to do that and couldn't understand why we hadn't heard it!
