Title: Whittaker - can you help me!?

Can anyone help me?
My great grandfather - Fred Whittaker died in 1928 after drowning, and on the Cheshire BMD it is listed that he died in Marple.  I was just wondering if anyone may help me in finding more information on his death!?

You can still access local newspapers in Stockport and elsewhere that would probably give the story. You don't say where you live though, I don't suppose that is much help if you live in Barnstable.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the help and advice!! I live in Farnham, Surrey (south east), so I only come up to Cheshire on rare occasions.
