Errrm - that says that trains won't be calling at at Marple. They'll be running as far as Bredbury, or going via Stockport into New Mills for Edale and onwards to SHeffield

Do you have a link to the page on the national rail website?

My reading of this is that there will be no trains from Marple - just buses linking you to the nearest open station in either direction.

By the sounds of things and what I've seen, they must be undertaking major work on the railway bridge over compstall road, hence break in  the rail link between romiley and marple etc  :o

But let's be clear about this - the engineering works and resulting disruption are taking place over the three days of the late May Bank Holiday weekend - not for 15 weeks from 5 May!
