Title: Fox Inn, Brookbottom
Post by: nbt on November 02, 2009, 07:19:02 PM
Mrs NBT went past today and noticed that the building looks like it's being renovated. Does anyone know if this is part iof the ongoing programme of refurbishing all Robbies pubs, or has it closed? She said that all the windows are being replaced and all signage has been removed.

I notice too that it's not in the pub guide - is it that bit too far to count as a Marple pub? It's still technically in Stockport, I think, as the boundary with Derbyshire is Green Lane as far as I'm aware

The Fox has been re-roofed over the summer, and the outside has since been re-painted.  I think the external signs will be refitted shortly.   This is a general external makeover, but the pub has remained open, and is still the excellent and unchanging place that we know and love!

I think the boundary runs along the stream, so the Fox is technically (just) in High Peak (Derbyshire)
