What they say about themselves:

We took over in 2007 and completed a full renovation of the building. We were very careful to give a strong modern feel but still retain some of the original features. We have a new well stocked bar and an "open kitchen" so you can see the chefs at work. The main bar area has a lounge appearance and there is also a coffee area with a wide selection of European style coffees. We have converted the old garage into an outdoor "fair-weather bar" which is open on sunny weekends and we have ample car parking on 2 car parks.

The Romper is now a clean, light and modern restaurant of a standard you would expect to find in the city centre, with food cooked from fresh ingredients and NOTHING is bought in ready prepared - we do not cook with microwaves. There is an extensive wine list in the restaurant.
