WHAT EGBERT THINKS...
"In my first review of the Railway I said "Fast becoming one of the most popular places to eat & drink in Marple", nothing on my latest visit makes me change any of that. Bright, clean, friendly and, although I normally try to avoid the subject, one of the best pints I've had for a while. You can always tell when a pub is having time as well as money invested in it and it's blatantly obvious that this is the case here.

YOUR COMMENTS...

I would like to say how delighted I was to find the Railway public house at Marple Rose Hill. I have been visiting this pub weekly, every Sunday, for lunch for several months. This is a fantastic pub!
I do a lot of hiking and as I like the odd beer, feel I have good experience with regards to MANY pub visits around the UK both town and country. This is about the best pub I could hope to find.
With the rare qualities of a country pub, friendly yet efficient staff (none of this preferential treatment to the locals stuff) and very reasonably priced good food, the cleanest premises I have seen, young management yet good old traditional values - what else could we ask for. Perhaps more suited to the clientele who prefer a more respectful establishment, not a youngsters baseball cap orientated establishment by any means so let's hope these customers continue to visit there own more suitable haunts!
