Distance Selling Regulations

The terms and conditions of sale detailed below are provided for your information, in line with legislation contained in Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. This legislation covers items bought where there is no direct contact between the supplier and the consumer.

Description of goods.

Postcards 'Set A' - A set of eight postcards depicting scenes of Marple Canals, printed on glossy card, size A6 (105mm x 148mm). Price is £2.80 per set. Images of each postcard are portrayed on this web site. 

Open Cards 'Set 1' - Eight Open Cards depicting scenes of Marple, size A6 (105mm x 148mm) when folded. Cards do not have to be ordered in sets. Prices vary depending on the quantity ordered and can be seen by following this link. All cards are individually packaged with an envelope in a transparent display bag. Images of each open card are portrayed on this web site.

Christmas Cards 'Pack 1 & Pack 2' - Each pack contains six Christmas Cards of different designs depicting winter scenes of Marple, size A6 (105mm x 148mm) when folded. The six cards are packaged with six envelopes in a transparent display bag. Each card includes the message "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" inside. Images of each Christmas card are portrayed on this web site.

Marple & Mellor 2009 Calendar - A4 calendar depicting 12 scenes of Marple & Mellor, printed on silk paper with a laminated card cover. Price is £5.00 each and includes a plain bluff self-adhesive envelope. Images of a typical layout, the cover and each monthly photograph are portrayed on this web site. The calendar includes an advert for a local business on each page.

Details of the specification, price and arrangements for payment of the goods purchased by distance selling will also be provided on an invoice despatched with the order. We are happy to send a quote or respond to customer's enquiries by e-mail.

Postal charges

Postal charges are in accordance with Royal Mail prices for UK Domestic, European or World Zone Airmail and are identified on the order form. The customer should ensure that payment includes for the correct postal charge covering delivery to the customer's location. Postal charges will not be refunded in the event of cancellation of an order that has been despatched.

Arrangements for payment

Payment is strictly in advance by cheque or money order in Pounds Sterling.

Delivery

Customers should allow 28 days for delivery from our receipt of order. Receipt of order will confirmed by e-mail if the customer has provided a valid e-mail address.

Cooling off period

Distance Selling regulations allow for a cooling off period of 7 days from receipt of goods covered under the legislation. Customers may return specified goods without reason within this period for a refund. This excludes goods made to the consumer’s specifications. Goods returned have to be complete and in a resalable condition including original packaging. The cost of returning and appropriately insuring the goods until satisfactory receipt by us must be borne by the customer.

Cancellation

To cancel the contract under the terms of the Direct Selling legislation with us, we must be contacted in writing at the address below within 7 days of receipt of the goods. The customer will be required to return the goods to us before a refund can be processed. Returned goods must be properly identified. We cannot be held responsible for goods returned without proper identification.

Delivery is considered to have been provided under a separate contract and postal charges will not be refunded in the event of cancellation of an order that has been despatched. For certain items the cost of UK postage is included in the price. In the event of returned items where this is applicable, a deduction for the original postage cost will be made from the refunded amount.

The time it takes to reach complete resolution of complaints will be governed by the nature and complexity of the issue but we will endeavour to ensure that consumers are informed of the progress of complaints as appropriate.
