Dear Mark,

Councillor Ingrid Shaw has asked me to respond on her behalf to your email on the Iron Bridge in Brabyns Park.

I would like to thank you for your interest in the project and congratulate your group on such a good web site. Regarding the Iron Bridge, my staff are in the process of assessing the requirements of the restoration and producing a project plan. This will be assessed against requirements for other similar projects and placed on a service programme.

However, if there is a way that we can work in partnership with local organisations to seek external funding we will certainly look into the options available in more detail. I understand that you have already spoken to staff in Parks and Recreation about just such an option. I will certainly encourage the an officer responsible for the restoration of the bridge to contact you in order to discuss feasibility as soon as the appropriate point is reached in the project plan.

Thank you for bringing the issue to my attention and I wish you every success with your web site.

Yours sincerely,

Norman Hudson
