New Mills, Marple
& District

MAIN PAGE NEWSLETTER

The Rotary Club of New Mills, Marple and District meets every Thursday lunchtime in The Rams Head, Disley at 12.15 pm, for 12.30 pm.

Visiting Rotarians are always welcome.

Our President, George Cope, was educated at Manchester Grammar School and the London School of Economics. He spent most of his working life as a Solicitor in Marple dealing with non contentious matters. Now retired, he works as a Tameside Countryside Ranger, and is a Lay reader for his Church in Haughton Green, taking Services and playing a full part in the life of the Church. He is an expert quiz competitor and was mainly responsible for the Club's team winning the Rotary District Championship.

Chris Farnsworth

The Secretary is Chris Farnsworth.
After leaving Stoke-on Trent to study Dentistry he never went back, but had Dental Practices in Heaton Moor, Marple and Mottram-in-Longdendale. After retirement he had more time for Golf, which he plays very badly, and supporting Manchester City F.C. In his time he has seen England win the World Cup and City being the top Football Club in England, something he fears his grandchildren will never see. He can be contacted at christooth@ntlworld.com
