ROMILEY & MARPLE
DISTRICT LIONS

Ordinary People - Amazing Things

Lions are ordinary people who do amazing things. They volunteer their time to worthy causes in their local and global communities

They also have a lot of FUN in doing so

In the last year Romiley, Marple & District LIONS Club have collected thousands of pounds from projects such as " Santa's Grotto" and the Swimarathon as well as many smaller projects. All the money collected goes to charitable causes such as:

· The Kingfisher Riding Centre for the Disabled

· The Manchester Cathedral Home in Mellor

· Chernobyl Children's Project

· Bihac Children's Hospital in the former Yugoslavia

· The National Library for the Blind in Bredbury

· The Beechwood Cancer Care Centre

· In addition, the Club also gave to many local schools projects (including our Music Bursary) and to local deserving families.

If you know of a particular worthwhile local charity/person/school project, which would benefit from the Lions' support,

PLEASE LET US KNOW.
