Marple Carnival Grand Parade Route

Marple Carnival is renowned for its street parade, not only in the quality and number of floats, but also the generosity of the public in filling the participants' collecting tins.

Last year was particularly successful with the majority of local primary schools entering the parade, as well as a number of commercial and charity organisations.

Marple Carnival Charities Committee would like to record their thanks to each organisation who took part and to each member of the community who lined the streets and dug deep into their pockets to give a record amount to charity.

We hope once again that this year the parade will feature a large cross section of our local community, schools and organisations.

Start: Recreation Ground Oldknow Road. - 2:00 pm. into Stockport Road. left into Hibbert Lane. right into Buxton Lane. right into Cross Lane. right onto Stockport Road. along Stockport Road. back to Recreation Ground.
